Honorary President

Mr. Arthur Vercoe Pedlar is one of Britain’s best loved clowns and has been a performer for over 50 years with some of the world’s greatest circuses. He was elected President of the World Clown Association in 2003/4 and is the first non-American to be inducted to the Clown Hall of Fame.

Arthur visited Israel in 2002 to see first hand the state of Circus Arts in this country. An intensive tour introduced him to many of the leading figures of Circus in Israel and a special relationship was formed between him and the Israel Circus School. A second visit to open the Circus Center came in May 2004 where Arthur Pedlar generously donated his performance to the community of Kefar Yehoshua and gave a series of workshops to students of the Israel Circus School. Mr. Pedlar has been instrumental in sponsoring our efforts to promote the Children’s Circus, to develop our Circus Center and to bring a real touch of Clowning professionalism to our community. Arthur is our “Guardian Angel” and we honor him with the title of Honorary President of the Israel Circus School.
